</header>The Sochi Autodrom held Russia’s first round of the world championship in 2014.
The 5.853km (3.64-mile) street course has 19 turns and uses roads around the site where was used for the Winter Olympic Games earlier in the same year.

In the car it’s 90-degree corner, straight, 90-degree corner, straight, so in terms of driver satisfaction it’s a little flat.

There are very many corners, with a couple of sections of stop and go. It’s quite a long lap and a reasonably technical one too. If you make a small mistake in one corner, you are punished for the rest of the lap. If you’re off line for one corner, it might not be until one of the straights that you can recover. Off-line is very slippery too so you’re doubly punished.
Every single part of this track is important! In terms of enjoyment, I like the first sector the most, but it’s a good track overall.

Pirelli has confirmed which tyres each driver has chosen for the next race on the calendar in Russia.
Large quantities of super-soft tyres have been chosen by most teams for the Sochi Autodrom where tyre wear has been very low in previous races.
Red Bull and Haas have made the most aggressive selection with ten sets of super-softs for each of their drivers.
Ferrari have been more conservative than most in their selection, picking six sets of super-softs and softs for Sebastian Vettel (http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/sebastian-vettel/) and Kimi Raikkonen. Mercedes rivals Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg will each have eight sets of the super-softs.
Under the rules each driver must have one set of medium and one set of soft tyres available for the race.

Per il momento giusto un paio di stake divisi sul giro veloce in gara: Sochi è circuito atipico, trazione e alto carico fattori determinanti e motore particolarmente sollecitato.
Ragionevole la scelta delle mescole dei vari piloti, nelle passate edizioni si è assistito ad una sola sosta per cui si prevedono stint lunghi anche con le SS. Quest'anno però il GP è stato anticipato nel calendario, quindi bisognerebbe vedere se condizioni ambientali e aumento di prestazioni delle nuove vetture possano incidere sul degrado anche se ciò, a mio personale parere, sarà difficile che avvenga.
Williams e RB hanno portato più treni di SS rispetto agli altri (non tengo conto di Haas, speriamo non risulti una beffa) per cui potrebbero avere qualche possibilità in più di sfruttare una gomma nuova in gara, ovviamente dipenderà anche da come andranno libere e qualifiche.
Sono però due team che su questa pista dovrebbero andare bene, la Ferrari in passato ha un po sofferto qui mentre Williams potrà dare libero sfogo ai suoi cavalli nel primo settore mentre la RB sarà veloce negli altri due settori.
In gara poi potrebbero anche decidere di fare strategie alternative e questo potrebbe essere importante ma in ogni caso le quote fanno gola.

Tutte le giocate sono prese sul giro veloce, 0.5 stake ad evento. Ovviamente se cercate e trovate di meglio acchiappate ;).

Dalle prime due sessioni direi che si consolida l'idea che le prime due posizioni andranno alle Mercedes, salvo clamorosi avvenimenti.
Anche i bookmakers tengono molto vicini i due del costruttore campione in carica, Rosberg è ovunque dal 2 in su mentre Hamilton lo si trova anche sotto l'1.90.
Proverei nuovamente con lui perché la Ferrari è ancora indietro, la Williams sta andando bene qui ma non sarà capace di competere per il primo posto. E' indietro soprattutto Hamilton sul compagno, 36 punti in meno finora e partire davanti a Sochi non è poca cosa. Vediamo se tira fuori gli artigli per fare un gran tempo.

L'idea con cui aprivo il post precedente era quella sul gruppo 2 con un eventuale puntata sulle Williams. Ora, ieri è andata bene per loro e sono ancora sfavoriti ma le loro quote sono calate di molto per cui passo su questo fronte anche se al limite si potrebbe anche fare ma preferisco mettere qualcos'altro sulla qualifica degli altri.
Per un pilota che per ora è contento dell'andazzo delle prove (Bottas) c'è né un altro deluso (Verstappen). Secondo me Toro Rosso farà fatica ad entrare in Q3 e McLaren potrebbe approfittarne, in ogni caso mi pare ci sia un bel divario con la Williams.
Sainz è andato un po meglio ma allo stesso tempo sarà dura piazzarsi davanti alla casa madre e Kvyat ha il potenziale per fare una buona qualifica.

Conservo il primo evento e gioco un'altra doppia con l'altro pilota Williams e quindi non mi ripeto.
In sostanza Mer-Fer-Wil-RB saranno le prime 8 in griglia, c'è la penalità a Vettel e ora gli avversari devono approfittare.

Nessuna penalità extra per il 44 che quindi parte dalla decima posizione. Sono state sostituite diverse unità dal suo motore che è tornato ad essere quello della Cina dove anche lì dovette rimontare dal fondo. Qui però è molto più difficile sorpassare anche se l'anno scorso venne fuori una bella gara.
Nel giorno in cui si ricorda Senna, Hamilton farà di tutto per risalire ma i ferraristi devono approfittare per tenerlo dietro e in questo anche Williams potrebbe dare una mano.

Prendo un'ultima giocata, in realtà ero alla ricerca di Bottas leader al 1° giro visto che Rosberg spesso dorme in partenza. Io non ce l'ho disponibile (su bet365 c'è 2° o meglio @1.61 ma non sembra buono) ma su una quota dal 5 in su un qualcosa si può mettere.
Allora un tentativo lo faccio a scapito di Massa che parte 4° e dietro ha Ricciardo che parte sulla sponda esterna alla prima curva ed è in traiettoria: se ha uno buono spunto come in Cina lo può infilare, o lì oppure in fondo al primo rettilineo se trova la scia.
Sempre che non sia Kimi a farsi sorprendere.

I problemi tradiscono Hamilton in qualifica ma non in gara rimontando fino alla seconda piazza. Stavolta Ricciardo proprio male, poi praticamente il primo giro è rimasto congelato.
Massa ci prova per il giro veloce, la pit crew della Williams monta le SS al giro 48 ma Rosberg è ingordo e si prende l'hat trick nel finale.
